So im a bit caught in getting a MPC 1000 or 2500 and I just have a few quick questions for those MPC buffs out there...
No matter what I get I am gonna do the JJOS upgrade so my main question is does a 1000 with a fully upgraded JJOS2XL have all the features of a fully upgraded JJOS2XL 2500? If not, could someone who knows break down the major differances or advantages/cons of each for me please...
At the moment I am leaning to the 2500 for the extra outputs however they are hard to find in my neck of the woods and fully kitted out MPC 1000s seem to be availble everywhere (for a bit cheaper too). Im really torn between this decision, I want to move away from the computer and make beats externally, Ive heard the 2500 and its extra outputs are much better for this. I just recently bought a new synth too.
Another quick question are the 'new' pads on the 1000 identical to the ones on the 2500? A few people say the 2500 have a classic feel on the pads and the 1000 are really stiff, is this still true after the pad upgrade?
Id love to hear from anyone with first hand exprience on both units. I have been lurking on these forums and looked at alot of threads but couldn't find any direct answers to these questions.
much thanks in advance,
J
