check out this from jjos site.

OS1(Ver4.99I or more version) into which the password was entered is required for installation of OS2XL.
It is not installable from AKAI OS and free JJ OS.
Therefore, when the password of OS1 is not entered, please purchase the password of OS1 first.

Since OS2XL is installed in the same memory domain as OS2, OS2 will be erased if OS2XL is installed.
If you want to use OS2, please install OS2 again.
Notes: The password of OS2 is not lost even if it installs OS2XL in OS2 into which the password was entered.

Unless it enters the password of OS2XL, the save of OS2XL is impossible.
Even if a function except a save does not enter a password, it can be used altogether.

The password price of OS2XL is US$64.00.
However, the price is US$15.00 when installing OS2XL in MPC into which the password of OS2 is entered.
When the password of OS2 is entered, Product ID of 6 characters is displayed.
When the password of OS2 is not entered, Product ID of 7 characters is displayed.

Notes
The save of OS2 also becomes usable when the password of OS2XL is entered into MPC into which the password of OS2 is not entered. (OS2XL Ver1.xx ==> OS2 Ver1.xx A password is unnecessary)

Hi Boje,

Yes i think it does, but honestly i'm having difficulties understanding correctly those rough google Japanese translations. Tried to read this a few time and there is always a OR an AND an IF an THEN or something that more or less misled the pre spoken statement.

Am I the only one in that case ?

yep if you pay the $100+ for XL you can just go ahead and chuck OS2 on and it works, and OS1...

On the MPC2500 version, Yes.
