Any LOOP EDIT users?

One of the main reasons I stuck with Version 2 is because of this feature. I was just wondering if there is any way to quickly change the pads that are able to fit in the 6 pad screen? . I think the 2500 has all of the pads at once. Nice feature.

doesn't seem to be any quick way that i can see.

you have to stop the sequencer, hit NUMERIC to back out of LOOP EDIT mode, move the cursor to the left into where the pads are listed, and then rotate the data wheel to change the pads listed one by one.

it would be great if LOOP EDIT functioned in the 16-pad view! i'd say it would be worth a request to JJ but you know what he would do with it.

I've actually requested it twice, as well as adding a TAP button. It really seems like it would be a very easy fix because that's the way the 2500 works. Also when your in Loop edit mode the undo button doesn't do anything, so it would be perfect for a Tap button. There's a video of it in use on youtube. Wouldn't hurt to add another request.

I'm a little surprised that this isn't a more popular feature. If you use it with the pattern feature it is a fun way to mess around and come up with new ideas...

i'll be damned. you're right! i had no idea. i thought it was the same in the 2500.

it looks like the 2500 doesn't even have that stupid 6-pad mode that the 1000 does. everything takes place in the superior 16pad view.

it should be a no-brainer to implement this on the 1000. the processors are the same and he has already wrote the code for it. i wonder why they are different?

i think i will request this as well - even tho the chances of it being implemented are next to none.

I think our only real hope is another paid version. I really can't see this Sequencer doing much at all money wise. I'm not trying to knock my mans hustle at all, I just don't see it being very profitable. I have read that the 2500 hasn't been updated in quite some time. Maybe we could convince him to completely combine the two programs making kind of a greatest hits OS for both the 1000 and the 2500. There are quite a few people on here who would love to see a version two with a few of the XL options thrown in. With the two combined, it would completely get rid of the six pad screens. If the 2500 doesn't need it, why does the 1000 need it? Anyways... I just think it would be a win win for everyone. 2500 users would get the attention they deserve, and all of the long time users who went back to Ver. 2 may get a few extra features. I'll send a sugestion through the bug report screen. (Is that how everyone else emails JJ?) I seriously doubt that there will be any attention to the Mp until the sequencer work is done, but it can't hurt to keep th bug in his ear just to know that there are still people interested. (Not to mention he may actually make a little cash)

no. email him directly via the email address that he sent your registration info from when you purchased the os.

I often wonder why this wasn't implemented in the OS2XL. I don't understand why any programs have to be cut, the mpc's internal memory can handle the tasks. I enjoy this feature immensely but I often have to choose between this and the other features of the OS2xl.
