Create a `split' midi keyboard coming out? 4 vocoder?

Hi, thanks for the help with the last problem, I figured it out, nice one. Can anyone help me with this?


Goal:

To perform live with a keyboard, vocoder, and MPC-1000. Ideally, with the top half of the keyboard controlling the vocoder melody.

Set up: (in midi)

[Keyboard] --in--> [MPC] --out---> [Vocoder]



Problem:

Keyboard is non-splittable (Casio cz-101).... Thus resulting in the vocoder singing all the notes at once, not just the right-hand notes.


Idea:

To get MPC to pick up midi signal only from the top half of the keyboard. OR mute the lower register midi signal from the MPC going into the vocoder. (vocoder has no ability to do this)

Thereby allowing the right hand/voice to explore the melody and use the left hand to provide harmony.



Reckon it's possible?

with midi out from mpc- not possible.

Workaround: sample the notes you need into the mpc and use the audio out from the mpc for the vocoder. Use two outputs if necssary one for the effected pads and one for the uneffected pads.
