How to play to samples at once in the same sequence

i've sampled some stuff and when i try to play more than one sound from what's been chopped from that sample sample i get cut off.

i have know about Mono vs Poly and it's still not working, i also searched the forum and havent found a clear answer please help!!

record your first samples however you want'em. then make a new program for the samples you wanna play on top of it.

so you have to have multiple programs for one sample. that seems weird to me. scenario: found the sample, chopped it, created a new program, recorded how i wanted the chops, realized i want to add another chop

You're saying i would have to go the next track, create a new pgm and put that chop on a pad and then add it?

you need to re check your mono poly settings.

there is a mono/poly option for each pad AND a mono/poly option for the entire program (i think this is your problem - it is at the top right of the program screen.)

yea, i have messed with that a million times, still not working. if it's set to poly, the samples play all the way through without cutting off and if it's set to mono, and try to add a sample, it tries to cut through what playing. creating multiple programs seems like thats the only way to go, but that's really strange.

how much is already laid down on the beat? Have you maxed out Polyphony?

a basic melody with the chops, that's it. and say i wanna add one more chop to the existing melody on the same track or even another track. I've tried each way and it's not workin...

you need to set pgm to poly

Set individual pads to mono

Optional:Set up mute groups so some pads cut off others.

If it still not workning then what pound said is correct.- go to mode other and check the polyphony count.If it hits 32 the Solution is to convert some stereo samples to mono in the trim screen. Especially samples which are identical on the left and right. Also go back to the mute groups and think about using some sounds to cut off others.
