channels

Yo. I have a song to sample but I don't like the sounds from the left channel. I would like to remove the left channel and put the right channel into the left one so that I would have the right channel in both channels. How to do it properly? what kind of software would you recommend? I did it once with audacity but some kind of quality loss had occured...And my second thought is : wouldn't it sound worse with the two same channels?Peace

edit -- delete left channel.
