I once made a sequence, then duplicated it with all the samples converted to the lowest bit rate possible. It sounded fine to me.

did u use JJ OS1 or OS2 to duplicate the sequence, or did you converted the sequence to a sample?

what do you mean by fine? did it sound exactly the same, or better (ie like 12-bit drums)?

I used Os2xl to duplicate the sequence. I tested two separate methods. In method #1 I simply recorded the whole sequence as one sample and converted the sample. In method two I duplicated all the events in the sequence and manually converted each individual sample. They both yielded different results.

It certainly did not sound the same, it had the lower bit rate and low fidelity sound. Don't quote me on this, but I'll try to upload an example when I get home from school today.
