Pitch shift sounds crappy....

Hi,
I am trying to pitch shift a sample on jjos xl. Its a nice slow guitar and i am performing pitch shift in the trim screen for +2 (it not so much...). I tried many Presets but it sounds realy bad everytime I preview the shifted sample... (it sounds noisy and nearly like I used a ring modulator or whatever...). Am I doing something wrong that the shifted samples even for small amount of modification sounds so horrible??

Pitch Shifting is a destructive process that will degrade your sample quality. You could try raising the pitch in the program instead of editing the sample.

Yes it is but when i change the pitch in the program (tune), it also changes the speed of the sample so the sample won't fit... Am I right?
Anyway, i know that the pitch shift is destructive but i am surprised that its destructive SO much...

You could try using the pitch shift feature in the free audio editer Audacity. If my memory serves me correctly the pitch shifter and time stretcher retain the original length of the sample.

Cut out every note in the loop and rearrange in the sequencer.
