Do any of the JJos's do midi recorded bounce like the 4000

Ok so i am contemplating selling my 1000 and getting the 4000 just for this feature alone. Do any of the JJOS's either on the 1000 or the 2500 do MIDI BOUNCE. I am sure i am calling it the wrong thing. Basically I can have say a moog hooked up midi to the mpc and record 4 bars of the moog while i am hearing the drums and at the end i can bounce the recorded moog which has been quantized by midi to a pad? I am tired of always having to bounce midi tracks to pro tools before i save. This would increase my work flow and save alot of time. Thanks for your time.

You can play your Moog through midi and record those notes, quantised into the mpc on a midi track. Then you go to another track in the mpc and set it to be an AUDIO track... then hit REC+PLAY and your quantised midi track will play your Moog whilst the mpc records the Moog's audio output onto the Audio track.
You will then have an audio take which is the same length as your sequence bars.
You can then assign the sample that has just been recorded onto a pad or just leave it on the audio track to play in sync with your sequence.

one more question.. do i need to have the moog going into a mixer than since im recording it midi first. or does the jj os make the mpc so the track will have audio thru and i can hear out of my mpc outs like in the 4000

Well. JJOS (all of em) can do this. It's the same as on the mpc-4000. You can do this on all tracks, but you will at some point bust your polyphony (32-samples).

You can get the black case at MPC-stuff.

U can do it in the akai os as well. just set the track to midi record your midi then go to record. record it and chop accordingly then load the sample to program, play the sample.
