Anyone Try This?? (Cork Pad Sensitivity Kit From MPCStuff)

I remember back when the pad upgrade first came out everyone was talking about how the new pads were suppose to be softer, more durable and more responsive (kinda like the pads on older MPCs) compared to the original 1000 pads. Recently I've been seeing people buying the corks or making there own fix to correct the gap between the sensor and the pads making the pads stiff but more responsive. My question is besides the pad upgrade being more durable than the old pads is there any other reason to switch to the upgrade now that you're having to modify them making them stiffer to get a better response? One of the main complaints before was that the old pads were stiff and because of that you would sometimes get false triggering but now it seems like in order for the upgraded pads to respond properly you have to make them stiff, it seems like we just went around in a big circle. What are your guys' thoughts on that?

My thoughts are: why the hell isn't mpcstuff making pad sets that actually fit the mpc properly?! I mean, why are they acting all Numark about it?
I just received some red pads today from them and had to stick 6 layers of spot stickers under each pad to fill the gaps on my mpc2500. Harder but more responsive. Surely it's blatantly obvious that people would rather have pads that fit properly in the first place? Or is it just me?

the pad corx is not as mandatory as if you were to upgrade from the original stiff single pads, but it helps

- soft pushy pads to catch the force of the impact one has to release in order to trigger the pads

- extra sensitive pads so one only has to tap the pads to trigger

prior to applying all corx to the pads i loaded the bottom pads(with corx) + the pads above with the same one shot samples and proceeded to tap the pads, with the same velocity throughout and i had to add just a bit more force with the pads without the corx but as stated it's not a necessary upgrade(if you could even call it that) just a add on for extra sensitivity so you can get wild like a wilddd mufafama without going full beast mode delivering a beatdown to the pads to keep up with the wildness you transmitting to it

i was afraid i wouldn't benefit from it at first since i was reading more reports regarding the stiffness but the extra sensitivity is too nice the stifness is not a concern for me since i can just glide like a wild muffafaufa trigger a pad 10 times with both index fingers in 2 seconds WILDDDD tai chi water mode status shizz feel

not to mention how it came in a package envelope when it was a tiny strip. i initially thought mpcstuff sent me an empty envelope

gonna finally get the kit this week, i can only use the middle rows for sounds, and i have to damn near punch them to register! LOL do the corks make them that sensitive?

i think the problem is not sensitivity,
i have the new pads with jjos2xl , sensitivity is really good.
the problem is the so-called "pad on".
if you just touch softly the pads are not triggering because of too much gap between them and the sensor. thats why there is a need to fill the gap with something. im gonna try with tape before buying the cork stuff.
other than that i think sensitivity is ok.

(have you tried that damn mpc500? you have to use a sledgehammer to make pads trigger sounds!!!)
