Easy mono conversion?

Hi
I'd like to convert some stereo samples to mono to save on ram loading space. Is there a way to do this directly on the mpc? I've got jj os installed.I don't want the samples only to be played in mono, as this would not save ram space.

In trim mode press EDIT. Keep scrollin to the right untill u read 'convert to mono'.

using the L+R mono with and without vocal cut produces different results depending on the sample, its worth experimenting with that, but as a rule of thumb I generally default to the non-vocal-cut
