Will the LPK series work with the 1k WITHOUT a computer?

I've seen a new LPK keyboard that I would love to use with my 1000, but I don't know if it needs to have a computer to work. If this one wouldn't work, what will? Basically, I want a true MIDI controller. Not USB. For $50... Possible?

nah sun, they only have a usb port on them. i wish they had a midi port on them, i would have snatched one a minute ago! I'm pretty sure there might a way around that, but i have yet to see it!!

They really need to call these things USB controllers. As they aren't MIDI controllers... Oh well.

Hehe... yeah they only generate MIDI messages on the computer side anyways... the computer has to do all the heavy lifting to translate the USB signals to MIDI messages.
