Do i need a jj osxl update?

I'm currently using JJ OS 1 v 5.56 and I'm creating a new file and i want to use jj os xl which i downloaded a few months ago on a cf card when i got my password. the jj os xl i think its version 1.16 and i noticed on the website a more recent upload of a version 1.42. Are there any changes in the new one? should i just download and use that?
