Problem With My Pads (Video Included)

Hey what up everyone, the video should basically explain whats going on with my MPC. Thanks for the help everybody

definite hardware failure.nothing to do with the os. might have got some moisture in the mpc or something. open it up & take a look. see if anything looks dirty or corroded. the pad assembly might just need to be cleaned or it might need to be replaced. your going to need to look under those pads. maybe they are screwed down too tight so pressure on one pad is causing triggers on the others.

if you're not comfortable messing around in there it would be better to take it to a tech and have them check it out, but sometimes just blowing some canned air in there and cleaning things off will be enough to fix it.

Thanks Sooty, I recently swapped out the old pads with those blacks ones like a few months ago because I thought that is what the problem was, but it turns out it wasn't. Ill open it up again and look but if that doesn't work do you think I need new pad senors?

Try Mode + Pad11 and the F4 "Mute" and check the "mute/simult" if they are on same pad or somehing?

I am using the JJ OS 3.09 (Free One) I went to pad 11 but didn't see anything about the mute/simult mode. The person I talked to from Mpc Stuff said its prob. because of the Simult Mode, but I cant find that anywhere and I am thinking its something else because this doesnt always happen.

Yes it happens with all of my programs whether it has drums or samples on it. I also played the sounds through my midi keyboard to see if it would still act weird and it didn't, the sounds played fine through the keyboard keys but when I play the mpc pads it does what its doing in the video.

That is unfortunate.I would take it to a qualified tech.You have a powerhouse machine well worth fixing. Good Luck

that's complete bullsh!t. the pads are firing off different random samples every time you hit them. that's not what simult does.

you said you changed the pads but not the sensor. it's the sensor underneath that causes the problem, so that is what needs to be upgraded.

also, i hope you didn't try and put the new style pads (all on one sheet) on top of the old style sensors, cause that would just mess everything up and might even cause behavior like you're seeing here!!!

@ Sooty yea the reason I changed the pads in the first place was because I was having this problem, Im not sure why but I thought putting new pads on would fix the problem but sadly it didn't. I just wanted to make sure if I needed new sensors or not because those things are like 70$!! haha
