no option screen when trying to format the CF Card

Im just making the swtich over from the mv to the mpc, I received a MPC with a JJOS 2 today when trying to format the CF card I went into my load menu (mode+pad 2) and tried to bring up the options menu by hitting window but nothing comes up I tried this in the save folder too. I am lost on how to bring up the menu so I can format the card any help would be greatly appreciated on this transition to the MPC

ive tried to move over to the right section of the top screen but pressing the arrow keys do not move the selection at all
I am using a Lexar pro UDMA 2gb 300x 45mb/sec Compact flash card

[MEMORY CARD] doesn't show up?

I've just received a 133x : 20MB/sec minimum data transfer rate CF card and it works but I'm not sure for yours.
You don"t have another CF to try?

The card ended up being damaged, I tried a new card with no problems now the only problem I am facing is the the arrow key down does not seem to work, It might be being new to the OS but when trying to shift down when in the program page it wont let me, It will only allow me to shift up. This is not only on the program page ive yet to be able to shift down even on the main screen do you see this as a hardware issue or should I try to re install the JJOS

Check youtube tutorial on how to open the MPC and look if it's the button itself or the underswitch that is broken.
