hey, I'm gonna post this here cos maybe it's caused by xl 1.44

basically my mpc2500 has strange issues when it comes to saving a project file. no matter what name I save the file under it will tell me that the file name already exists and it gives me the option to rename or replace, so to save a project I have to always press replace even though there isn't a project with the same file name. I could even name a file xihfihsicdhidchwjd and it would still say ''file name exists''

any ideas would be appreciated.

replace is a work around but it takes so ****' long to delete all the hits and then save em again.

thanks!

Are you saving in folders or the root of the harddrive? Make a new folder each time, and then save the project. Hope it helps..

format your hd / card from within JJ os on the mpc, not on your computer.

make sure your filenames are less than 16 characters.

...and read the entire JJ FAQ in this forum!!
