i see this function under jjos (im not sure of this function its also under akai os) SAVE LINE PATTERNS

would anyone care to explain what its exactly this for?

A pattern is one bar of 16th notes that you can assign to any pad at any bar on any track of a given sequence. It has a special editing interface. You can activate or deactivate each 16th note, you can edit the velocity, duration and shift the timing of each note. I've used it to make hihat patterns a couple times.

Its crazy how deep JJ OS is, I damn near forgot about patterns.
