JJ OS XL CRASH

I updated to the latest JJ OS XL version, powered down, but didn't hold down the ERASE button when powering up. Now the OS doesn't start up. It shows me "MPC2500 (128MB INSTALLED)" repeated, but never get's to main screen.

PLEASE, HELP.

I believe you are correct. I tried turning the MPC while holding the WINDOW button. This is supposed return the unit original conditions, but I get a WRONG CARD message. My compact flash card is not the original. I contacted AKAI. They advised to erase everything on the card except the MPC2500.bin (OS) file.

But I get the same message. I cannot locate the original card. I have a 2 GB flash in there and have moved a couple of times.

So does anyone know how I can flash the ROM? Does it need the original 16MB card?

May be possible to purchase.

I formatted the compact flash card as FAT not FAT32 with a card reader on my PC and installed official AKAI OS. From there i installed my JJ OS XL. FAT32 doesn't work

make sure you format your card IN THE MPC WITH JJ OS or you will have problems down the road. use JJ OS to do the formatting, not your PC.

read the FAQ in this forum & read JJs site. it'll solve 99% of the problems you might have.
