Took me a while to realize it was Nym responding. (Didn't recognize the avatar...) Damn good to see you back on this forum my man! I haven't been on here much lately, but if you plan on hanging around from time to time, I'll deffinately check in to see what's up. By the way... What's up? Havent read all the posts yet, and I have to do some rippin and runnin, but I'll catch up later today. What I mean is, you dont need to retype something you've already posted, but I'd love to hear what you've been up to. (I haven't had a chance to listen to the file you have in your signature, but I deffinately will.

Look at the response this thread has gotten. Has to show you that you've been missed. Welcome back young man. Did I read you have an album coming out? I'll read about it in a few if so... Welcome back!

Nym wrote:+1 on unlinking loop end/end of sample so that upon NOTE OFF the rest of the sample plays to the end + release.
i'm sure there's a more concise way of putting this
if anyone knows the technical term for this behavior please tell

I've always known it to be called a Sustain Loop because it only loops for the sustain portion of the envelope. As looping is now, I know that as an End Loop or Release Loop because it continues to loop upon release (actually it's a Sustain AND Release loop combined). This is all coming from the terms as defined with the Casio FZ-1. There is also Timed Loop which loops for a time which you specify.
Whatever people call it, I'm sure JJ will get the picture.
