hello guys,
I have a problem, I want to send midi note ON communicate via footswich
I play on bass and guitar connected to korg kaoss3 via preamps;
I need to start sampling with a press of a footswitch - i connected midi out off mpc to kaoss3 midi in,
seems akai doesn't send note on/off communicate via footswitch (when set as PAD1 for example)
when I press a PAD it works, bus assigning footswitch to the pad doesn't work...

any ideas ??
jamming musicians ?

thanks for help in advance

I tested this on 2.25:

Set footswitch to PAD1.
Connect MPC midi out to external synth midi in, set midi channels.
Press pad, external synth plays.
Press footswitch - external synth plays the note assigned to the pad.
So it works. You have a problem...

hey,
thanks for answer,
it's strange, i got jjos 5.55 version - maybe i need update ? (or you have a jjos xl2?)
anyway I assign switch to pad 1 - it plays assigned sample (to pad1) but
it doesn't :
1. record this pad as a note within mpc sequencer (even I can hear it playing when pressing switch!;)
2. sends midi note on/off communicate to sequencer (daw, any midi device)
when plugged into other midi device - i can see midi is coming in (as midi device signals flicks), but this is not note on/off communicate

any help ?

thanks in advance

I made a mistake, i should add i use jjos 5.56 - sort of one of the first payed jjos'es
and this one has crippled foot switch control,
just dwnloaded jjos2.25 - and it works flawlessly....
now it's time to make a decision -spend 74$ for new os or not..:)
anyway, new jjos looks amazing, just went through new options, wow!

maybe it's time to update
