Hello im new here.. Im planning on buying jjos1. Also i wondered if it usefull to buy beatmaking on mpc 1000 ebook. I know it has a seperate book voor jjos (free version). So technicly this book is not for jjos1. Is it still worth buying? Because i wont even touch my mpc until i have jjos1. Dont like the free version.

Some help would be great.

I dont like Jjos free edition . And dont want to waste my time on it. Im getting jjos1 paid version this monday. But if the book is for jjos 3.12 it wont help on new functions that are in os1. But I allready had my question answered so thanx guys for helping.

Wouldn't it be better to install just the free version, buy the beatmaking book and then after you learned how the stuff work, switch to the paid version?

Yeah i was about to do that but when i hit
Pads it echos. I checked the forum for this and came across lots of tips and advice. Tried everything but still crappy echos. So a couple of people gave advice to go for os1. Thats why i said it was a waste of time. I cant have fun making tunes cause the samples echoes of plays tru when i hit the pads.

you probably mean this issue viewtopic.php?f=25&t=141653&hilit=echo
to be honest I dont think that there are any reasonable benefits using free jj os for education purposes...
I would suggest you to stick at factory akai os, buy the book --> learn how it works and than upgrade to paid version...
OR buy the paid jj os and start learning from zero directly on the paid version...

I don't think OS1 is too different from Akai OS, considering the book - there are some additional functions, but it's still quite easy to follow the tutorials. On the other hand, if (=when) you switch to JJ OS XL, it's a step closer.

I started on JJ OS1, had no problems with the book.
