greetings
I was recording some drum beats from my Yamaha Rm1x groovebox to an audio track on the MPC1000 (I've also tried it with RECORD mode), and when I play back the sample I notice that the bass drum has a little bit of distortion. When I listen to the same sample from the headphone output the distortion is not there.
The MPC stereo out is hooked up to an input on my Roland VSR-880 8-track recorder. So when I listen to sample through the VSR-880 the distortion is audible.
I've also tried to plug in my headphone into the MPC stereo out, but the levels are low to be able compare them to the MPC headphone output.
I've tried different settings on the VSR-880 and on the MPC, different cables, but still same thing. Stereo OUT = distortion, Headphone OUT - no distortion.
anyone have any idea what might be going on?
p.s. I also tried MPC digital OUT to VSR digital IN,..... also distortion.
