Just got this beast and tryin to make whole tracks on it tonight.Im still getin use to the learning curve since im comin from 4.99.The shift+all is annoying as there was a dedicated all button in 4.99 also, highlighting just 4,8,etc pads with cursor down+shift is a lil annoying as well and i gotta do it every time i leave the window.Besides that everything else is dope.I was wondering if you guys wanted to share some tips and tricks for better workflow. One thing im really tryin to learn is the non-destructive chop.Anyway to change the chops from the default 32 to 16,8,etc??? i also cant figure out a fast way with the prgm mode chop which is the way i wanna work! just in case i need to go back and fix a start and end point.Any help would be great THX!!

hint: scan these forums.

trick: with JJOS installed the extra memory actually makes the MPC 0.000000000000000000000000001% heavier than usual, making it a more reliable and expensive paperweight.

Nym wrote:i don't use ALL much, instead i hold UNDO to copy parameters from pad to pad. this is an extremely quick and efficient way to map parameters

where in SF are you?

in which mode can you do that (UNDO to copy parameters) ?

global param edit (GPE)
i LOVE LOVE LOVE this function. it makes editing chopped samples a real pleasure.

If a pad is hit pressing the [UNDO SEQ] button, the value on cursor will be copied to the hit pad.

If PAD2 and PAD4 are hit pressing the [UNDO SEQ] button in the state of the above figure, the result of the following figure will be obtained.

"Sample01" of A01 is copied to A02 and A04.

this works in ANY GPE parameter...also if you go to the PAD column and hilight a pad, hold UNDO SEQ and tap another pad, it'll copy the whole shebang onto the new pad. lightning. i should make a video for this.

read this page in its entirety while using your MPC to try what they're talking about. don't give up if you don't immediately understand the language, just do what they say.
