ok now WTF!?! Help pls!

So i chopped up some samples, assigned them to pads then saved them. Now im making a beat and discarding parts of the samples that i dont need and for cue points. I have the beat perfect the way I want them. I save the program assuming it will replace the old one with the new one with the discarded parts.

I go eat, come back to load up the beat to finish, now the program loads it the way it was the first time. Now im irritated because I gotta keep goin back to discard parts that wasnt needed and change the start points to where they were. I saved the program again. Came back to it today, now its back to the same program the 1st time.

WTF?!!?

this is really pissin me off. I dont wanna have to keep discarding parts I dont need everytime I need to work on this track. Anyone know what the problem is? Any help is much appreciated!

always save the entire memory to a new folder. if it asks to overwrite the existing data, choose yes.

this way you are on the safe side!

ah, and read the manual to make yourself familiar with the different ways of saving data!

cosign above, esp when you're learning the ropes SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY is going to be your safest bet. if you ever need a pgm from a different project just dip into the project and grab it out.

I know about folders. Its just that I sampled it, chopped it up then saved it. I then discarded parts I didnt need then saved it again over writing the program. When I did that, I loaded it again and it was back to when I first saved it.

I fixed it tho. I had to rename every sample and then save it by over writing the old one.

just saving the program will NOT save the associated samples with it. if you do it that way be sure to save all samples and sounds too.
