I know this has probably been asked many times before but is there any point in uprgrading from the akai OS to the free JJOS? I've looked through all the features of it but I just wanted to know what someone who has actually used it thinks.
Thanks

If you search you will see plenty of entries about this..........short answer is - do it, do it now.
I use JJOSXL and will never consider going back as the functionality is greater

there is every reason to switch to the free OS. it is better the the original and loads everything faster. even if you have no intention of upgrading to JJOSXL (which you should do probably before even messing with the free version) you can still make better use of free OS in comparison to the AKAI one.
