2XL please please please PLEASE

Topics:

1. Midi editing (events, CC's, PC, Durtion, Grid vs step, etc.)
2. Difference in track types (specifically limitations of picking one over the other, and how this affects editing)
3. Routing (ways to use the two mixers, assignable outs, fx sends. This is especially confusing in 2xl since you have to set what can go where in different places, or from different modes).
4. "System flow" (I find it especially hard to grasp how the different elements interact and flow, from getting sounds into, editing and performing, controlling external modules, structuring programs/sequences/tracks/patterns/projects/folders/packs, recording sequences, to how all of that interacts with the pads which can now change a lot more due to this os, to then manipulating the sounds and midi, and routing via the mixers and effects, to laying stuff out in songmode and/or track muting, to then tracking into a daw.)

Obviously I'm still learning as I'm new to my mpc and 2xl, but I've used lots of sequencers both software and hardware, deep to simple and the jjos* manual is soooo frustrating in its structure and koan-like text (arbitrary bars!!!??). It would be so refreshing to see something guide you through using this stuff from the perspective of actually making music than from a screen by screen, mode by mode description (don't get me wrong, JJ's manuals are fine for this, especially due to the language thing. No disrespect to JJ, he da man.)

I'd make one book for both machines as it's basically the same OS for the two.

Currently working on a Pro Tools book (nearly done), then an Ableton and maybe Reaper or Cubase, so will most likely begin work on a JJ book first thing in 2012. Also want to see how XL v3 is coming along by then.
