Trouble with Loops

Hi, new here. I've had my MPC 1000 for about a month now. I'm running JJ OS2xl and I'm having problems getting loops to play. I've checked both the Akai manual and JJ manual and I understand how to set loops but when I go back to the main screen and try to trigger a loop with a pad, the sample still plays as a one-shot or note on.

How do I fix this?

Hello,

Traditionally loops are working with the NOTE ON behavior but if you have the latest os check for the LOOP&HOLD behavior in program mode. You can have them loop for an extended duration of 65000 which should be approximately 5 minutes at 120 BPM.

Thanks. I didn't realize I had an old version of JJ. I updated it and it now works as I wanted it to.
