How do I assign attack filter to only one of the samples that is assigned to the pad? Is it possible? **** around with the buttons, looked in the manual and did a light search on the forum but my vocab isn't really up to snuff.

^ Nah, I got two samples set to one pad and I got them synchronized so the sound I want from each one (one sound that I want to go off at the beginning of the sound and one at the end) the only problem was that I had to extend each sample beyond the sound I wanted from each one to get the timing right. So I need to find out how to put decay on one of samples on the pad and attack on the other. I know there was a screen where I could assign one sample as noteon and the other as one shot when they're assigned to the same pad but i can't remember how to get there, but I was wondering maybe you could do something like that with the filters.
