hi is there a way to record my tracks onto the audio tracks that jjos gives us, kind of like tracking into the mpc from inside the mpc. i know theres the old fashion way with the record feature but i see on the jjos free version i can set the audio track to record the main out but when i do that i dont hear nothing on the audio track only the regular drum track. am i doing something wrong ?

I do this by going to Record (mode + pad5) and setting the Input field to Main Out. After this I just mute any tracks I don't want and then record the audio track like normal. Works fine using the latest version of 2xl. Make sure the output of the tracks you want to record are going to the stereo out (i.e. not 1,2,3,4...).

Hello guys! Can u do this in the MPC 4000? I'm looking to buy one and i really want this feature.

So can u record audio on audio tracks in the mpc 4000 or is it just midi sequencing or sampling? Once my drum pattern is done in the 4000 (midi) i want to play a synth in time and record its audio output on an audio track in the 4000. So i want to record the audio output not to sequence the synth via the 4000 via midi coz i know how to do that.

Is that possible on the 4000? If not is there any way around it? Maybe sampling the synth and play it on a pad? Can u sample the synth while the drum pattern plays?

Thx, sorry i'm new to the mpcs :)
