GOTO/LOCATE disabled>jjos1 5.56?? FREEZING & more Q's

its in the title...

i searched but couldnt find an answer. its in the akai manual but not in the jjos manual.
i need to use it coz for some reason i cant hit REC/PLAY anymore... it wont count in, and yes i checked that screen. i can however hit play then rec, so at the moment im skippin to the end of the 8 bar seq then overdubbing at bar 6 to write notes on bar 1.
this is **** weird yo.

my mpc is buggin out on other things. i think something is corrupt in my project,
im working in a 1mg+ ALL_sequence session.

bugs in this session began about 4 folders deep of backups. opened it one day and some samples were missing, so i reloaded the programs and that worked although some could not be found but didnt affect me.

also the box crashed on me 4 times lastnight, when i was editing midi notes in grid edit. twice crashed whilst editing the start point of a note. then it just locks up, needing a cold restart.

i recieved a [SYSTEM ERROR] message one time(never seen that in 6 yrs), but didnt freeze, went to save, and again [SYSTEM ERROR] followed by a freeze.

i thinnk i need to update to jjos2xl or something.. just another Q
do jjos1 projects load ok into newer jjos2 & 2xl??

ok i figured out my first problem...

im using all the 10 outs on the mp into my digi002,
and the click runs through the stereo outs which im not using at the moment..



but im still boggled on the other things enough for me to use a new smiley..

There's a limitation for the numbers of files or folders. I think it's about 1000 or something like that. What about your folders?

I can't speak for OS1 but several months ago I had the same kind of freeze. I was messing with GRID EDIT in os2xl for 30 minutes shifting events and got the same SYSTEM ERROR message twice followed by a freeze. I reported it and I was told it was due to a lack of memory or something like this and in an update there was a bug fix concerning this bug.

do jjos1 projects load ok into newer jjos2 & 2xl??

some manual adjustments are needed.
