Hi there

I'm doing some sweet real time pitch shifting on vocals with my MPC1000 JJ OS2XL.

However, sometimes the pitched audio suddenly gets delayed and distorted, so I guess I'm overloading the CPU(?). I'm playing a few tracks from the MPC at the same time as I'm doing pitch shifting

What can I do to minimize the CPU use, so my pitch shifting is stable.
I could try moving some of my tracks to my Octatrack, so I play fewer samples from the MPC memory, but do you think that would make a difference?

Cheers,

single sample triggering is not something that will likely overload the CPU unless they're on every tick.

someone mentioned quantizing qlink and CC info - i think this would be a great addition to SEQ edit or the TC screen. a lot of this data (a LOT) can slow down the CPU.

also, polyphony overload can do it.

anyone else know of other things that can do it?
