Does JJOS work with pad upgrade?

I have the mpc 1000 with jjos free. pad 1 and 2 on my machine are a bit unresponsive when full level is turned off even when sensitivity is turned all the way up. I want to buy the pad upgrade from mpcstuff.com, but i read in the requirements that akai OS should be installed. Will the pad upgrade work properly with jjos?

It should work fine. I had one of the original 1000's with the stiff pads and eventually switched them out for the new sensor-based pad upgrade. Worked wonders. Be sure to adjust your settings accordingly:
