Just gave OSXL a spin - everything's messed up?

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster signing in..

I recently bought a very badly used 2500 (meaning it was like new), and for a while now I've been playing around on it using the Free JJOS. However, I wanted to layer samples with simult so I can set ADSR for individual layers, so I did some homework and decided to try OSXL before buying.
The big problem now is that a beat I created earlier with Free JJOS, suddenly just sounds horrible when loaded in OSXL! Lemme explain:

- my chops are now shorter, so there's now space between beats in the phrase, not sure if they were timestretched or something..
- a lot of pads seem to have a low-pass filter applied to them for some reason, though I never put a filter on them in the first place. My chops all sound filtered low, except for one or two pads that suddenly open up when playing back a sequence...

For the moment I just went "fuggit", restored JJOS Free, and everything's fine again. Thing is, I'd rather not repair/fix/redo my earlier made beats just to get them working in OSXL. So does anybody know what might've happened?

Welcome to the forums. JJOS Free programs are not necessarily fully compatible with later versions of JJOS, pad layout is now forced to be chromatic, some features are modified or replaced etc.

There's also a bug with the 2500 where the sound output is messed up and I don't think there's ever been an actual OS fix for this yet - this may be the filtering problem you refer to. I think the temp fix is to go to RECORD, select the DIGITAL sampling input and then set it back to ANALOG, seems to sort it.
