Hey guys. On and off MPC user of several years here.
What I'm looking to do is to issue program changes every two bars. I'd like to do this so that I can switch FX presets on my Ensoniq DP/4 in quick succession, to treat some acid bass with. For example: phaser, chorus, distortion, etc, every two bars.
Now, I'm using the 1000 with JJ OS2 installed. What I think the manual is trying to tell me is that this isn't possible, that the MPC will only send a PC at the start of a sequence. This is kind of a bummer, but I'm hoping that I misunderstood it because that OS2 manual can be kind of vague/confusing at times.
..and to be up front, I'm still learning about program changes, so I haven't actually tried this yet. In my defense, the DP/4 is super confusing, so I was hoping an experienced user could tell me if it could be done before I waste hours of headaches and troubleshooting.
