Sample LPF not working in playback

Hi all,

I'm probably just overlooking something stupid but I'm beating my head against the wall here trying to figure out this issue.
I have a vocal sample loaded on on pad A03, in the program menu I've applied a LPF to the sample with some envelope modulation going on. When I play the sample by hitting the pad it sounds exactly as I want it to. However when I record it and listen to the playback the filter is not there at all.
Any clue on what's going on here?

I'm on an MPC1000 with JJOS2XL

thanks. i never use this mode so i'm not sure exactly what it's telling me.
