What up group?! I have an MPC 1000 on the way, can't wait too dig in!! It has JJOS 3.08 installed. I'm pretty new too the MPC, currently have a 500 (which is a little beast too me!) so I know almost nil about JJOS. What do you guys recommend I do in prep for my new toys arrival? Is JJOS 3.08 good, bad or ?? Thanks in advance! Love you guys and these forums!

Preciate the love family! Yes I'm pretty patient and consistent when learning new toys, it's a blast for me. Absolutely will I get the tutor book, that's how I learned the 500 and it worked well. I'm an old head so chopping by ear is how I've always done it (I still own and use my EPS 16+). What about JJOS 3.08 is it the most current? Or should I bump up to the most current at the beginning? What you guys think...?

yeah update the OS, free and also what ever paid one you got to. follow instructions of course. There is not as much chopping by ear, more by eye, but with real time pad placement you can do it by ear and pad hits with the right thing highlighted, so you should be good when you get the hang of it
