using MIDI CC to Level of a pad is only possible in bank A ?

So i go to mixer, then to the CC tab, choose a CC# for every of the 16 pads and now i can control their volumes individually, great, i can mix elements of a track, but wait... this only works for bank A pads, when, can't assign volume CCs to bank B, C and D pads ? am i not getting something ?
