JJOS FREE 3.13
Just upgraded from Akai v1.24
I have a number of tracks in my live set that are converted songs.
To avoid getting caught out by the track ending without me realising, I have set the last 8 or 16 bars to loop.
So - for a track that is 148 bars long where I loop the last 12 bars the loop settings would be:
Loop: ON
First bar: 137
Last Bar: END
Number of bars: 12
On Akai OS - Play Start would play the track from the beginning and then loop the last 12 bars.
On JJOS - Play Start starts the track at bar 137 and just plays from the loop.
There is a work around where I have to do:
LOCATE/GO TO - START
and the press PLAY
but this sucks as my muscle memory just automatically goes to PLAY START after years and years of mpc use.
Any ideas??
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I only upgraded to JJOS due to a midi sync issue with AKAI OS where when I midi clock slaved my TR8S from the mpc the first note would stutter and the TR8S would play one note out of sync. Had similar behaviour with arpeggiators on synths too.
Weirdly, this issue can be worked around using the exact workaround above.
JJOS fixed it but introduced this new issue.
