what am i not gettin?..adjusting loop length with data wheel

hi-

used the beta for a week and just bought 4.0. i know i'm stupid, but did i lose the ability to numerically fine tune the loop length with the data wheel? i used to press a cursor key and " shift to get stuff tight, but that's not happening for me right now. i need single digits so some stuff sits right.

fwiw, i rarely use the video editor screen. my ears ( hopefully) tell me what i need to know.........

you have to zoom in and out to fine tune the end points. Look at you f keys while in trim/loop
