Erasing while running?

I had my first jam with som guys with other machines/synths yesterday. We synced up the other drum machines to my mpc and started the jam. I created tracks while running, but sometimes I made misstakes and had to quickly mute that track. Is there some way to use the undo-button (or erase) while running?

in overdub mode just hold erase and hold the other pad which have the sample you wanna erase.

i've been using this more myself, esp after working for a while solely on the sp404. i like it better now than i did before. i have no problem with stopping my sequence, it's actually the way i work, but i'llbe trying it w/out stopping for a while to see if it has a different influence on my work

in my opinion the mpc would be a different beast if you didn't have to stop for any functions (seq copy etc). its not really a big deal for me, but i dig the idea of a nonstopping vibe..
