es-k...all I have to say (for now) is......

I talk about the JJ OS for the same reason why people talk about the Akai OS. So why is it such a big deal? So everyone can make their point besides me? The fact is.....Akai gave the 1000 a major upgrade 11 months ago. It gave the 1000 many of the features of the MPC 2500. The JJ OS released a few months ago, gave the 1000 a few more features and re-arrange some of the menus. However, it has several bugs..more than what the Akai OS has. For anyone saying otherwise, simply pull up threads created 10 months ago and you will read how 1000 users were raving about the OS..especially Nym. So althogh JJ has released OS updates quicker, they are nothing more than beta's. I hope that answers the questions you have.

Now as far as music....I have never heard your music (nor have I checked for it  ). You could have joined my contest as well. But you didn't. If you really want to hear something I created, its not hard to find. But I am more of a business man than anything else. I would call myself a technician before I call myself a producer. But anyway, I do make tracks as a hobby..nothing more than that..at least for now. Nym dislikes my tracks...so does a few of his cronies. Well, its a good thing I don't make a living off of what they like/dislike...funny thing though....(I don't care for their music either)...

If you need to know anything else about me....just ask....iight.

I guess you didn't read what I wrote the first time......

Anyway...here is a 4 bar snippet of a track I done for the MPC 2500 vs 3000 thread. Boomspot hosted the files for me:

http://www.boomspot.com/2500vs3000/Test1.wav
http://www.boomspot.com/2500vs3000/Test2.wav

Care to guess which MPC is which? (oops, we are now hijacking this thread).

The JJ OS is awesome. The most solid MPC OS ever! He's the new Roger Linn...(I guess that is what you want to hear  ).

the second sounds grimier... but the swing on those drums sounds a lil more "gallopy" or whatever to me..

so i'd say the second is the 2500, even though the sound of it sounds grittier and lower bitrate..

i dunno
haha

which is which?

You reply was the same as most he replied in the previous thread. However, the first sample was from the MPC 2500.

And Jahrome returns!

Yeah all you have to do is look at all the 9 month old posts about bugs that havent been adressed at all...

Ignore his moronic bullsh*t, he has proved on many occasions, that his input means nothing and is written just to take the piss.
He spends his time bitching about the homebrew OS and hijacking threads.
Keep working on posting bugs and finding new ways to use your MPC! at least JJ responds with updates.
Hardware hacking, is a godsend, thats how we get most of our new instruments.
-Peace

Returned? I never left silly...I am a mainstay in the forums. Inbetween all the BS that goes on here, I do help out the younger forums members when they need a little assistance....unlike you upitty house negroz that post silly things like.."just read the freakin manual, and let us be to trouble shoot the JJ OS"

Catz like you do very little or nothing at all here.....you really don't deserve a comment from me...but I will let you get your moment to shine

Bitching about the 'bugs' in the JJ OS is what the people who paid $30 for it do.....read the threads.

Hijacking threads is what people like you do because you don't care for my comments/questions..which are mostly/strictly about the OS (but have to open up a can of wup azz from time to time).

Yeah...keep working and posting bugs because that is all you can do with that JJ OS. Yes, you will get quick OS updates...just to beta test it and report the new bugs back to JJ. That's cool if that is what you want to do with your time (I guess its better than jawing with me  ).

You say this as if no one has made any music on an mpc with the homebrew OS. If that was all anyone did, there wouldnt be anyone using it. Both OSes are fine for the most part, both are useful and used, as well as being budget oriented. (30 bucks on top of the hardware is pretty budget oriented as well concerning hardware mods, check it out.)
There is no possible argument, regarding if one OS is better than another, beyond the opinionated judgements based on additional features or possibility of support.
Most of the threads on any of the hardware related forums are about bugs or things not working... look at the 4k, 1k, 2k, etc. That is why people say "RTFM" so often. Possible that I dont understand your statement?
This OS is gonna get hated, the same as the MPC OS, but hardware hacking will always be a good thing and give people new ways to use stuff. Finding a way to use gear in new ways is a time honored musical theme, from the Beatles at Abbey Road, to Van Halen or Robert Moog.
Keep spreading the word and showing people how to get on as you mentioned prior, Be it with this gear/os, or any other combination.

And as stated prior, you are a mainstay of the forums, you're the resident troll. All you do is troll the forums looking for ways to provoke disputes, and make baseless falacious arguments.

You can call me whatever you like....but I ain't going nowhere. I don't have to tell you I contributed plenty of know-how to these forums. For you clowns that just say read the manual that are not moderators (hint..hint), you would do better than to just not reply.

So again I ask...its ok for another forum member t create a thread about bugs, but not OK for me to chat about the bug? Or how about the JJ vs Akai thread where most of you are on the right but I decide to go left? That's your problem not mine if you are upset...

But I tell you what, we can sit here an chat about it. I won't even charge you for this therapy...iight?

Ok...now where were we (side tracked once again)...so, did anyone report the latest bug? What did JJ say? We'll we get another before Christmas? I am excited about the possibilities...for real..I am not playing.
