Opinions differ.

Try it for yourself. You can always go back if you don't like it.

If you want lots of new features on your MPC, and you don't like file errors, pay $30 and upgrade to JJ.

If you're happy with fewer features and a buggy file system, stay with Akai.

or wait for another jahrome contest ! :)

jokes apart, i bet your talking about the mpc 2500 os .

i would advice you to wait a bit more. JJ has'nt finished the mpc 1000 os yet, and it still needs few bugs correction here and there.

once all the feature will be stable enought for productions, ( just have to take a look at user post in this forum, for knowing what is wrong or hot with the lastest version)

then allow some time to JJ to update the mpc 2500 os and make it strong.

but so far, even with bugs it is still worth the money. i mean, there is less annoyings bugs than AKai os. (even if this last one was almost great for the mpc1000), dunno about the mpc 2500, but users seems to complaint about some big bugs.

wait and see, try it , then adopt it ! :)

there aren't as many 2500 users on the jj os, and subsequently less interest over in JJapan to finish the design. i'm sure theý're working on it though, maybe hence the goofy last 2 updates for the 1k (honestly we can't complain about the 2 new cute features, we've got enough to work with for a while right now. the qlink grid edit is wonderful).

but when the 2500 os gets brought up to speed with the 1000 os there isn't even a choice, really, unless you're a masochist and love saving bugs
