Hey guys, I'm new to the board, and I got a quick question for you all. I'm trying to interface my mpc with my comp via usb. When I go into mode->pad 2 (load) then go to USB, the mpc wont allow me to use my data wheel to switch from memory card to internal. Anyone else have a similar problem, or know how to solve it? Thanks!

The Flash RAM (internal) can not be reached through USB, it can only be altered by using save and with each save it overwrites the whole Flash RAM.
So it´s nothing you just drop files and samples into. The CF card and hard drive (if installed) can be reached via USB.[/b]

the only reason I'm trying is cuz i want to get rid of the factory songs and samples and things that come on there. Whats the best way to do that then?

Erase all samples and programs MPC, then save entire memory to internal. If you want to keep the factory stuff but not have it load, set autoload to off.
Consult your manual.

this is the number one mpc1000 question out there. the manual doesnt cover it fully. you have to make a blank pgm with a blank sample. someone needs to youtube it. i would but i have to go do community service. peace out
