not revolutionary, but realyl quick and easy to do using the jenius os
1 - grab a open melodic loop sample
2 - chop it note per pad
3 - program your melody
4 - move to new track
5 - copy original pgm
6 - in global param edit, tune it down 12
7 - give it a lowpass to taste w/ high resonance
8 - push decay to 100
9 - copy programmed melody to track 2
this basically gives a copy of the sample an octave lower. brings out some of the cool lower stuf going on, while maknig the sample occupy more space. i like it. esp cuz the stuff is decayed, so it sounds like a completely different sample just in the exact same key of the first. good for adding additional melodies, or just keeping as a copy.
also can do this the longer way by moving them to different pad layers and pitching them there, or by creating this all in 1 pgm (banks A and B, etc) and then simulting, but this is a quick way to get something out of it.
