perhaps I missing something or is it just that way or is it a bug?
When I record something live, the next sequence button does not work anymore, neither using the wheel. Am I missing something ? now I just go around it musically stop/play ( it restets the problem) but MPC is master to 2 hardware sequencers and Ableton Live, I would prefere not to do it this way. Is there a solution ?

this has been the case since the akai os. something about recording and switching not being compatable w/ one another, ie you can only do one or the other.

he mentioned something about it back in the day but it was somewhat garbled by google translate. it'd defintiely be a nice way to move from seq to seq w/out stopping, i agree, but if it ain't gonna happen it aint gonna happen...

Thats really a shame, after all it is where MPC can shine, actually playing, improvising. So is it the same problem by original Akai OS ?
The point is that if I want to change smalest thing, MPC gets locked and i am stuck for eternity with one sequence unless I press stop.
Damn, there is time for nonsense games or pictures but not for fixing basic functions?

i reported this bug a few time. At some point JJ said that it is uncorrectable.
which is fair enough. i beleive this bug is also in the mpc2000.

anyway, after i insisted more, JJ created a usable workaround. set "next sequence" to "immediate play" or "immediate start". (in main, hilight the seq name and press window).

after this you will be able to change seq after rec in the main screen. (not in "next seq" screen though). better than nothing. :)

i dont think it is any solution, the next seq seq is important for flexible live jamming. Seems till it is fixed stop and go is , very lousy solution, I have to think how rewire my setup to do it in some resonable way.
It is not just for me, as I have the luxory of other sequencers and computer, but with the audio track 1k flies to places nobody would think ever.
Tight timing and option of doing everything without pressing stop, there is nothing to match it.
