harrdrive OS requirements

i wanted to get a 80G harddrive for my mpc 1000 and i was wondering if i needed the JJ OS to use it, i just got the mpc and it has 2.10 on it

Nope - JJ not needed - you can install a hardrive under any OS - you will need the HDM10 kit though to physically house the harddrive in your MPC

yeah, better off avoiding 2.10 and at least download 3.06 which is free.
be sure to format the hard drive after installing 3.06.
