Problem with chopping into 16 parts

I usually chop beats into 16 equal parts to change it around a bit. The problem is: I clearly hear a decay at the end of a chop, even when I play back the beat at its original speed... and it should be smooth then. I tried to set the decay to 0, but that doesn't help.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Anyone? Or does nobody even know what the heck I'm yapping about

2: do you turn it into a patched phrase, or sliced samples?

Sliced samples, to be able to change it around a bit.

ok, um, have you altered any settings like 'Decay' in the Amp envelope screen, or is this literally straight after you've chopped it?

could you post some examples, before and after if possible?

also there's a tail setting asked before you chop, i think
set that to 0 otherwise it gives a timestretched end.

Yes I know. I tried that, but it doesn't have any effect.
