bug? in 5.04

Im not trying to be a dork here. I think I may have found a bug.

I was currently using akai's latest OS 2.+ I decided to try out JJ os 5.04 I loaded it up, everything works just fine. However, when I load my project files using the JJ os there is insufficient memory, the entire project file wont load.......it only loads 80% of the files and leaves like 2 or 3 samples unloaded. I then go to load these up individually, thinking that the project file is corrupt, then the screen says "insufficient memory" as if I ran out of memory.

Here is the thing. These project files I am loading would completely load with the Akai OS. I saved them normally and they would load up just fine with the Akai OS, no insufficient memory, infact, I know when I made the beats I did not use up all the memory in the first place.

So I guess the question is:

does the new JJ OS make the sample files larger?

it definitely doesn't make the sample files larger, but there's a chance that the OS itself takes up a little bit more memory than the Akai OS leaving less space for your samples. do you have your memory expanded?

Check your auto load settings.
Sometimes when you go from Akai to JJ or JJ to Akia the auto load setting will change and you will have a machimne full of samples that you didn't know loaded.

no memory expanded just the 16mb. Thats why im not so worried about it because I plan on expanding soon here..........However, ive had my mpc2500 for some time and havent had the problem. Ive always made beats with 16mb or less.

Nope its off. I Already checked that. Plus I loaded the OS twice to make sure there wasnt something corrupt.

I was thinking, did the ppq change? this could effect the size of a seq and OS?

with the JJ OS are actually selecting the Project file or loading the folder?
Do you make a new folder for every project?
If I am not mistaken JJ will load everything in the folder while Akai loads just the associated files.
So this would mean that JJ file system loads more than the Akai does.
What I would do is put the Akai OS back load the project then save it to a new folder.
Load the JJ back and then load it from that new folder.

I have a new folder for each beat. I am loading the project file. I make a new project file for each beat, a new folder for each beat.............thats why I thought it was so wierd, because with the akai os, if I load it the same way, everything loads perfectly. It seems like the project file might take up more memory or something and then inhibits the abailty to load a few of the last samples................

however, I know that for a fact some of the beats I am loading did not take up the entire 16mb when I saved them to begin with, so if the project file is a few kb bigger, there should still be enough space, but for some reason it still doesnt load everything.

I guess, I am gonna try a few things tonight to figure more out. I am also going to try and make 1 beat with JJ and compare the file sizes on the computer. and I am also going to save a project file with no samples, then try saving with 1 really small sample and see what happens with the size.

Well, today...I thing Karma is catching up to me

My left stereo output seems to be going out on me. My MPC 2500 is a fixed in my studio and never leaves, and stays in one place connected to my mixer. So I couldn't figure out why over night, the left output started to distort. It did it last night. When I turned it on today, it was fine, but them 10 minutes later, the problem came back. I turned it back off so I can watch American Idol..turn it back on, and its ok again wtf? So right now, its seems to be ok.

Next, I listen to a CD using the CDM25. Everytime I use the data wheel to go to a different track, the MPC switches to the load/save screen very quickly/then back to the Record menu/CD. Now this doesn't stop me from doing anything...but its still a bug.
