recording mutes?

how do i do this, i turned it on but how do i actually rerecord my when i hit mute?

all you have to do is mute/unmute while recording.

so i have to rerecord all of the tracks? it seems kind of pointless then i could just play it again the way i want it. keep in mind its a drum track. or am i just missing something?

Just another quick method: if you track to a DAW you can always do your track mutes there quite easily if you're that way inclined.
