New to the MPC and just downloaded JJ 4.44B

Hey yall, I am new to the whole MPC 1000. I have had it for about a month and I have falled head over heels for this machine. But my questions are regarding the new JJ system. On the main screen what is the PC, under it it says off and when I use the dial it says seq, 1, etc what the **** is this. Also how do you chop better.

I think it refers to the MPC being connected to your computer. I could be wrong as I have only owned my MPC for a month or so...

PC = Program Change (for external gear)

oh thanks man that makes sence so if you hook up a midi key it will say midi right

no, it's for external synths/samplers etc. it's used to change patches on them.
